History Spanglish Unlimited Founder and President, Hugh T. Avera, was in Spain when he wrote his first "how to learn a new language" book in 1992. By 1995 he was leading group trips into the rain forests of Costa Rica. Mr. Avera also worked as a community college ESL instructor, volunteer courtroom interpreter, and Spanish instructor at a school in North Carolina before starting his company.
In 1999, Mr. Avera began working in the private sector. The demand for his products and services is growing as rapidly as the Spanish speaking population. He remains very involved in the day to day operations of business: consulting, speaking, teaching, interpreting and customizing Spanglish solutions.
